My story

I spent most of my 20s, 30s and 40s as a lawyer working in big corporate law firms in various cities around the UK. I was always searching for something that was missing - maybe the job wasn't right, maybe the relationship wasn't right, maybe where I was living wasn't right.

And in 2016, I found myself living in Bristol, married, two boys, dog - ticking all the boxes that society told me should make me happy - and yet I was miserable. I was angry.

The  ticker tape that ran through my head every day was flashing “There must be more to life than this” at me.

Suffice to say that I find myself now still married to the same man, same children, same dog, same home, working part-time in my legal career and the rest of the time I work on my podcast, writing and coaching as well as the things outside work that bring me joy.

Outwardly my life doesn't look that different but inside I am changed. Irrevocably. That was what needed to change all along - my relationship with myself. A big part of that has been discovering I am an HSP.

I See, Me (a memoir) available in paperback or kindle from Amazon

In January 2017 when Philippa suddenly lost a lot of the sight in her right eye, what followed wasn’t just the medical process of recovering most of that sight but an unravelling of the previous 47 years of her life to revisit the things she had refused to see. The ensuing transformation has enabled Philippa to have a totally new vision of her present and future and a desire to share it with you in the hope that it can help you see things in a new light too.
This is Philippa’s journey from “less than” to “enough”, from fearful, in pain and angry to open, courageous and alive.
